8th Mental Health and Psychosocial Support 2025 report

The 8th Mental Health Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Forum was held in Lusaka from 25th to 29th October, 2025 under the Theme “SEE US – Amplifying the Voice of Africa’s Children and Young People”. The event that is REPSSI’s flagship gathering of mental health and psychosocial experts, policy makers, children, young people, traditional leaders, civil society organizations, religious leaders and
government officials, held every two years was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Zambia. The 8th MHPSS Forum emphasized the urgent need to prioritize the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of children and young people across Africa, highlighting integration, partnership, and action as key drivers of sustainable change. The Forum comprised two parts- pre-forum
and main Forum both attracting only physical participation with all sessions made accessible to virtual audiences through livestreaming.
